Baptism

If you wish to have your child baptized at St. Lawrence Martyr Parish, you should contact our Coordinators of Baptism of Infants, Mary Januk at (410) 551-8266 or Kitty Lauth at (410) 551-8166 to set up a time for preparation and the date of Baptism. Baptisms are typically conducted the third Sunday on the month, after the 11:30 AM Mass.

Confirmation

Every other year, the 8th and 9th graders of our parish are confirmed by the bishop or his delegate. Preparation for Confirmation occurs in twice monthly classes and by attendance in our Life Teen program. Eucharist

The celebration of the Eucharist, the Source and Summit of our lives as Christians, takes place every day at St. Lawrence Martyr. Monday through Friday at 9 AM; Saturday Vigil 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM; Sunday 8:30 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:30 PM, and 5:30 PM. Consult the weekly bulletin for changes and Holy Day schedules.

Homebound, nursing home, or hospital visitation with Communion can be arranged by calling the Rectory Office at (410) 799-1970.

Preparation for First Holy Communion usually takes place in second grade Religious Education class. Please contact Valerie Magnuson, our Coordinator of Religious Education, for more information at (410) 799-7790 or by email at val@saintlawrencemartyr.org.

Reconciliation

Each Saturday the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered from 4:00-4:45 PM in the Reconciliation Room in the back of St. Lawrence Martyr Parish. Confessions are available by appointment also. Contact a priest at the parish office.

Anointing of the Sick

If you or someone in your family is sick and in need of the Sacrament of the Anointing, call the parish office to arrange for a visit from one of the priests. Please do not wait until the last minutes before death to call. Also, if you or a family member is in the hospital, and wish to be visited by a priest, please call the parish office or ask that the hospital contact us.

Holy Matrimony

In order to set a date for the Wedding Ceremony, the couple must meet in person with the priest. At least one of the parties must be a practicing Catholic who has been Confirmed and must be an active member of St. Lawrence Martyr Parish. The preparation of the couple with the priest or deacon must begin at least six months prior to the wedding date.
